The army of the aggressor country of russia is experiencing a shortage of missiles for air defense systems needed to counter strikes by Ukrainian drones. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Sunday, April 26.
Syrskyi said that he had met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces Jennie Carignan. He thanked her for the significant assistance that Canada provides to Ukraine, and also spoke about the current situation on the front line.
According to Syrskyi, russian troops have intensified offensive operations almost along the entire front line. In response, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are relying on thoughtful planning, innovative solutions, and the effective use of available means of destruction. This leads to the fact that the occupiers are suffering losses that exceed their capabilities to replenish their units.
He also drew attention to the fact that regular Ukrainian strikes deep into russian territory have a negative impact on the capabilities of russian air defense.
"Systematic strikes on russian production facilities further reduce the capabilities of the enemy's air defense, which is already experiencing a shortage of missiles to counter Ukrainian unmanned systems and weapons," Syrskyi said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of today, April 26, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl Oblast of the russian federation. The enterprise has a processing capacity of 15 million tons of oil per year and is among the five largest russian refineries.
And yesterday, April 25, Ukrainian drones reached Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, located 1,800 kilometers from Ukraine, for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion.
