The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YANOS) oil refinery in the Yaroslavl Oblast of the aggressor country, russia. It is one of the five largest russian refineries in terms of processing volume.
The strike on the refinery was carried out on the night of today, April 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
As a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones, a fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprise. The extent of the damage caused is being clarified.
The YANOS refinery is located in the city of Yaroslavl. It is a key enterprise in the aggressor country's oil refining industry. Its processing capacity is 15 million tons of crude oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
The oil refinery is located almost 700 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine.

Also that night, the Ukrainian military hit a number of russian targets in the occupied territories. In the areas of the settlements of Menchuhove and Kelerivka in the Donetsk Region, military echelons of the russian army were hit.
In addition, the General Staff confirmed the defeat of the Pantsir-S1 air defense complex in the Mariupol area (Donetsk Region) and the Kasta-2E1 radar station in the Melitopol area (Zaporizhzhia Region) as a result of strikes carried out on the night of April 24.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of last Saturday, April 25, the russians complained that Ukrainian drones had reached Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion. They are located at a distance of more than 1,800 kilometers from the border.
As a reminder, as a result of the Ukrainian missile strike on Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, russia, which was carried out on April 19, two production facilities on the territory of the Atlant-Aero enterprise, which produces drones, were destroyed.
