According to social media, residents of the Black Sea coast heard about ten explosions. The loudest were in the areas of Anapa, Tuapse and Gelendzhik. Eyewitnesses also reported flashes in the sky and the distinctive sounds of drones. "Bright flashes were seen and 'disgusting sounds of mopeds' were heard in the sky," the reports said.

Temporary flight restrictions were imposed at the Krasnodar airport due to the threat of drones. At first, there was no official information about the victims.

Later, the governor of the Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, announced the victims. According to him, the attack killed two children and injured two more adults. Classes were also canceled in all educational institutions in Tuapse.
