North Atlantic Alliance members will provide USD 60 billion in military support to Ukraine through 2026. These funds are separate from the EUR 90 billion loan from the European Union. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this at the beginning of the Ramstein meeting in Berlin on Wednesday, April 15, European Pravda reported.
Rutte noted that USD 60 billion would be additional military aid for Ukraine in addition to the EU loan. According to him, the allies should invest more in order for Ukraine to receive the necessary financial support.
"We have to focus funding on priorities - air defense, drones and long-range munitions. These are the priorities," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.
In addition, Rutte said that the Allies should make proportional contributions to support Ukraine's defense, as currently too much of the burden is borne by a small number of countries.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 10, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte named four countries that currently oppose Ukraine's rapid accession to the Alliance.
On February 14, Rutte said that in 2026, America would provide Ukraine with USD 15 billion worth of weapons. It will be paid for by Europe as part of the US-NATO PURL international initiative.
