Rumors about the hospitalization of US President Donald Trump have spread online. The White House directed journalists to reports about the the American president "working nonstop" in the Oval Office over the Easter weekend.

It was reported by People.

According to information circulating on the Internet, 79-year-old Donald Trump allegedly received treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on April 4.

A White House spokesperson directed the publication's journalists to a post on X published by the White House communications director. The post reads:

"There has never been a President who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump. On this Easter weekend, he has been working nonstop in the White House and Oval Office."

Separately, the White House responded to the speculation on social media site X via its Rapid Response 47 account

"Deranged liberals cook up insane conspiracy theories when @POTUS goes 12 hours without speaking to press. (They said nothing when Biden routinely went 12 days without speaking to press). Fear not! President Trump literally never stops working," the post reads.

Earlier in the day, CBS News White House correspondent Emma Nicholson wrote on X: "As of 1:50 p.m., there is a Marine Corps guard at the West Wing entrance, indicating the president is working inside."

Amidst the rumors about his health, Trump has been active on Truth Social. The very first speculation about Trump's whereabouts emerged on Saturday morning, when a number of social media users reported possible road closures as well as possible flight restrictions in the airspace above Walter Reed Medical Center, the main medical facility designated to provide care to the president.

Neither road closures nor possible flight restrictions have been officially confirmed.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, last year, US President Donald Trump was diagnosed with chronic vein disease, which is common in people over 70. It is also associated with bruises on the hands of the American president.

In January of this year, Trump provided an explanation for the new bruises on his arm - according to him, they were caused by taking aspirin.
