Ukraine is ready to support its partners who are experiencing difficulties due to the violation of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz as a result of the war between Israel and the United States against Iran. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this on Thursday, April 2.

According to him, Ukraine participates in all formats of interaction with partners for the sake of greater security and strengthening our common strength. We are currently working with countries that are subject to air attacks by Iran.

"New agreements have been reached, Ukraine will be even more actively represented in new formats on security issues. This will certainly expand our export opportunities and strengthen Ukraine's defense potential," Zelenskyy said.

He added that on April 3, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov would present a detailed report on this work with each country.

In addition, yesterday, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha took part in a format jointly with European countries and other partners on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the problem of freedom of navigation in it.

"Ukraine has the relevant expertise on sea routes, protection and restoration of traffic; if partners are ready to act, we will consider how we can strengthen them, how we can add our expertise, knowledge and technological potential," the President added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 2, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine appealed to the countries of the Middle East with an offer of assistance in destroying Iranian drones if they affect the negotiation process to end the russian-Ukrainian war.

Already on March 6, it became known that Ukraine is preparing to send its specialists to the Middle East to help protect US military facilities and its regional allies from strikes by Iranian UAVs.
