US President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States is "not opposed" to the oil tanker of the aggressor state of russia going to Cuba.
He said this while talking to journalists on board Air Force One.
"We have a tanker out there. We don't mind having somebody get a boatload because they need … they have to survive. I told them them, if a country wants to send some oil into Cuba right now, I have no problem whether it's Russia or not," he said.
Asked by a journalist whether Trump was worried that this would help russian dictator vladimir putin, the US president rejected this statement.
"Will it help him? Why? He will lose one cargo of oil. That's all. It's not a big deal. If he wants to do it, and if other countries want to do it, I don't really care. It won't have any impact," he said.
The American president also claims that "Cuba is doomed," calling its regime bad and its leadership corrupt
"And regardless of whether they have a ship with oil, it won't matter. I prefer to let it happen, whether it's Russia or somebody else, because people need heating, cooling and everything else they need," he concluded.
As a reminder, earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Cuba could be the next target of the US army.
Earlier it was reported that two russian tankers transported about 730,000 barrels of oil and 27.000 tons of gas to Cuba.
Meanwhile, on March 28, mass demonstrations against US President Donald Trump called "No Kings" took place in all 50 states of the country.
