Ukrainian interceptor drones downed over 10,000 russian UAVs in February - Defense Ministry

The Ukrainian Defense Forces set a historical record in the fight against russian air attacks. This is reported in the data of the Ministry of Defense.

During February, the Defense Forces managed to neutralize a huge number of enemy air targets with the help of specialized interceptor drones. As noted in the department, such a result was made possible thanks to the rapid development of domestic technologies and the effective use of unmanned systems to protect Ukrainian airspace.

"Ukrainian "small" air defense set a record. In February, the Defense Forces shot down over 10,000 enemy aircraft-type drones, in particular Shahed and Gerbera drones," the report says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, since conflicts in the Middle East are predominantly aerial in nature, the region needs a large number of air defense systems. Ukraine has already provided the United States with its own expertise and means to intercept drones.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has received 11 requests from countries bordering Iran, as well as from the United States and Europe, for help in shooting down Iranian drones.

Washington also previously acknowledged that ignoring Ukraine's offer to protect against Iranian Shaheds was a mistake.
