A group of Hungarian citizens that arrived in Ukraine this morning has no official status or planned official meetings. This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi, writes European Pravda on Wednesday, March 11.
Tykhyi noted that the Hungarian citizens arrived in Ukraine using a visa-free regime and according to general rules. According to him, any tourists from the Schengen countries come to Ukraine according to the same procedure.
"On the territory of Ukraine, this group of individuals does not have an official status or planned official meetings, so it is definitely incorrect to call them a "delegation," the Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized.
In addition, Tykhyi stressed that citizens of other states who comply with the rules of stay and respect Ukraine can stay on the territory of our state.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 11, a delegation of the Hungarian Ministry of Energy, led by State Secretary Gabor Csepek, began a visit to Ukraine.
Recall that on March 10, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen supported the proposal to send an inspection team to Ukraine and find out the status of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
On March 9, Fico said that he was ready to "take over the baton" from Hungary in blocking a EUR 90 billion loan from the European Union for Ukraine.
