Russia may send troops to help Iran - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the aggressor state of russia may send troops to help Iran, as happened with North Korean soldiers in the russian-Ukrainian war.

He said this in an interview with Irish journalist and front-line documentarian Caolan Robertson.

"Russia has begun to support the Iranian regime with drones. It will certainly help with missiles, and also help them with air defense. What next?" Zelenskyy said.

According to him, given the situation, the question arises when and which country will be the first to support the Iranian regime by sending troops.

"Just as it happened with russia, when North Korea sent 10,000 soldiers, who are currently deployed in russia, but can be sent to Ukraine. The same thing can happen in Iran - russia can send troops there," he suggested.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier, US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz said that russian assistance to Iran, if it is provided, is ineffective and expressed confidence in the appropriate reaction of US President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, European Council President Antonio Costa called the aggressor state of russia the only winner from the war in the Middle East due to the decrease in attention to the russian-Ukrainian war and the increase in energy prices.
