Electricity imports to Ukraine from Slovakia and Hungary continue despite threats to stop supplies.
This is evidenced by ExPro Electricity monitoring data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that commercial electricity imports to Ukraine from Slovakia and Hungary continue despite political statements by representatives of the authorities of neighboring countries.
It is noted that since the beginning of February 2026, Ukraine has already imported 1.1 million MWh of electricity, of which 49% - from Hungary, 18% - from Slovakia.

Imports during the month remain at a stable level.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrenergo NEC stated that the probable termination of emergency electricity supplies from Slovakia will not affect the situation in the unified power system of Ukraine and that currently Ukrenergo NEC has not received any official documents on the unilateral termination of the agreement on mutual emergency assistance by the Slovak system operator - SEPS.
On February 23, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that Slovakia had officially terminated emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.
On February 18, Hungary and Slovakia decided to stop the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine due to the shutdown of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
