To mark the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion, European leaders arrived in Ukraine by Ukrzaliznytsia trains. Organizing such visits is a complex procedure that requires clear planning. This was told to Novyny.LIVE during the YES Meeting by the head of the company's board, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi.
"This is a great honor, a great responsibility. For us, this is already such a standard procedure, but we never approach it lightly. Everything is tested, we know the routes," the official noted.
According to Pertsovskyi, the main challenge is combining diplomatic flights with the schedule of regular passenger trains. Railway workers are trying to "build" special flights into the schedule in such a way as to minimize delays at the border for other passengers.
"Everyone arrived, everyone is happy," the head of Ukrzaliznytsia summed up, adding that despite the influx of international delegations, the system coped with the load.
We would like to remind you that on February 24, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council António Costa arrived in the capital of Ukraine. The distinguished guests were met at the train station by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha.
