The military exercises of the aggressor country russia on the territory of Belarus pose great risks for Ukraine and Belarus itself. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with the Belarusian independent media outlet Dzerkalo on Monday, February 23.

Zelenskyy noted that russia is currently scaring Europe by bringing the Oreshnik ballistic missile to Belarus. According to him, a show is being put on, but self-proclaimed President Lukashenko is making a big mistake. After such actions, the russians will move the Oreshnik to Belarus without asking Lukashenko, the Ukrainian President said.

"The second story. I know that they are talking about military exercises with Russia in Belarus. Again. We will see how big they will be. But when they were very massive, an offensive on the territory of Ukraine began. So all these are definitely big risks for Ukraine. And, I think, big risks for Belarusians," Zelenskyy emphasized.

In his opinion, NATO should consider Oreshnik as a legitimate target.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian cyber experts said that russian operators of attack drones use the territory and civilian infrastructure of Belarus to plot routes and maintain communication during attacks on Ukraine.

On February 18, Ukraine imposed a package of sanctions against Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and stepped up measures to counter all forms of his support for the killing of Ukrainians.
