The American company Mondelēz International, whose plant in the Sumy Region was attacked by russian troops on February 21, continues to operate in russia, where it has three factories.

This is evidenced by the company's latest report for 2024.

Thus, Mondelēz International has three factories in the russian federation - the Bolshevik factory in Sobinka, Vladimir Oblast (cookies), a factory in Pokrov, Vladimir Oblast (chocolate), and also in Veliky Novgorod (chewing gum, lollipops). The company's central office in russia is located in the center of Moscow.

"We have suspended new investments and advertising expenses in russia, but as a food company with more than 2,500 employees in this country, we have not stopped our activities, as we believe that we play an important role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of food products," Mondelēz International said.

It is indicated that in 2024 and 2023, Ukraine generated 0.4%, and russia - 2.9% of consolidated net income.

"International sanctions, export controls and other measures, including restrictions on the transfer of funds to and from russia, which were introduced against russian legal entities, complicate operations in russia, and failure to comply with the relevant sanctions and measures may result in the imposition of regulatory fines and reputational risk on us," the report also notes.

We add that Mondelēz International was included in the register of "International War Sponsors" on the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) website, which in 2024 the Cabinet of Ministers closed due to, in particular, numerous appeals from representatives of the diplomatic corps of partner countries regarding the lack of a regulatory framework for the existence of the list.
