President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a closed meeting with officials who represented Ukraine at the trilateral talks in Geneva. The Head of State announced this in his traditional evening address.
According to the President, members of the negotiating delegation are already on their way to Ukraine. On February 20, a closed meeting will be held to determine the next steps in the negotiation process.
"There will be a report here in Kyiv on those aspects of the negotiations that should not be discussed over the phone. We will also determine the further framework of the conversation with our partners - with the American side, with the Europeans and with the Russian side," Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State called it important that representatives of Europe took part in the last round of negotiations. Ukraine continues to count on taking into account Europe's position in the negotiations.
As a reminder, the third round of talks between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia took place in Geneva on February 17-18 with the mediation of the United States. This time, representatives of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy took part in the discussions for the first time.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov called the third round of negotiations difficult. According to him, the discussions were difficult but important.
After the talks, the administration of US President Donald Trump said that the meeting of the parties in Geneva "brought significant progress".
At the same time, Reuters reported, citing its own sources, that two days of difficult discussions in Geneva had not brought any breakthrough in the negotiation process.
