Heating bills in Kyiv will be issued after recalculations are made in accordance with the actual consumption of heat energy in January 2026. Kyivteploenergo reported this at the request of the Ministry of Finance.
The company noted that utility bills could not be prepared due to the difficult energy situation in the capital. Currently, Kyivteploenergo is clarifying the actual availability of thermal energy, the volume and standard indicators of its supply in January 2026 for all buildings in the company's service area.
After receiving and processing the relevant data, the charges for January 2026 will be made taking into account the actual services provided. The updated amounts will be reflected in the bills that Kyiv residents will receive for February in March. The company emphasized that the recalculation of heating bills will be based on actual supply figures.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 2, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision that guarantees automatic recalculation of payments for utilities if they were not provided or provided inadequately due to the effects of enemy shelling and other reasons.
As of February 16, 1,200 houses in Kyiv remain without heating.
As a reminder, the Kyiv City State Administration has published a list of buildings where heating will not be restored at least until April
