The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision that guarantees automatic recalculation of utility bills if they were not provided or provided inadequately due to the effects of enemy shelling and other reasons.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Sviridenko has announced this.

The report says that this applies to heat supply, water supply and household waste disposal

"Utility providers are obliged to recalculate the entire period of non-provision of services and reflect these amounts in their bills. Consumers do not need to submit any additional applications," emphasized Yuliia Svyrydenko.

So, according to Svyrydenko, information on the number of days of service interruption for each house should be published on the operators' websites.

The recalculation amounts will be reflected in the payments for January 2026.

The Prime Minister also instructed the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection to monitor the implementation of this decision and report on the results.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 1,000 buildings in Kyiv are without heat supply as of Sunday morning, February 1.

Last night, heat was restored to 1,500 high-rise buildings.
