In Kyiv, 1,200 houses remain without heating. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Also, about 100 houses are still without heat out of the 2,600 high-rise buildings that were cut off from heat supply as a result of the enemy's attack on the capital's infrastructure on February 12.

Also, more than 1,100 buildings in the Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi Districts remain without heat after previous shelling, and it is currently impossible to supply heat to them due to critical damage to the Darnytsia CHP plant.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of February 16, 153 educational institutions in Kyiv remain without heat supply, which is 15% of the total number, including 77 preschools and 69 schools.

Earlier, Klitschko said that the Darnytsia Combined Heat and Power Plant was critically damaged during the russian attack on February 3, and that it would take at least two months to restore it. At the same time, the mayor provided a list of 1,126 houses in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi Districts that cannot be supplied with heat until the damaged Darnytsia CHPP is repaired.

According to Klitschko, it is impossible to replace Kyiv's centralized heating system with local heat sources or cogeneration units.
