The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the composition of the commission for conducting an independent external assessment (audit) of the effectiveness of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (Asset Recovery and Management Agency, ARMA). This is stated in Decree No. 71 of January 28, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, the commission included:
Jacqueline van den Bosch, a Dutch lawyer and specialist in internal investigations in the field of corporate criminal law, corruption, fraud, sanctions compliance and confiscation of illegally obtained assets;
Cornel - Virgiliu Călinescu, a lawyer and expert in the field of corporate criminal law, fraud, and confiscation of illegally obtained assets;
Jill Thomas is a British expert on returns and asset management;
The Cabinet of Ministers also approved a candidate to replace Przemysław Musiałkowski, a Polish expert on law and policy in the field of cooperation in the fight against corruption and money laundering, in case of early termination of the commission's powers.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 30, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the head of ARMA Olena Duma.
Then Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said that the Cabinet of Ministers was initiating a complete reboot of the ARMA, she instructed to urgently launch a new competition for the head of the agency.
In August, the Cabinet of Ministers temporarily entrusted the acting head of ARMA to Deputy Head of ARMA for European Integration Yaroslava Maksymenko.
The independent audit of ARMA is expected to be the first step towards a complete reboot of the institution.
