Zelenskyy dismisses Maliuk from NSDC

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has removed former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk from the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). This is stated in Decree No. 80 of January 26, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"To remove V. Maliuk from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the document says.

At the same time, Zelenskyy approved Denys Shmyhal and Mykhailo Fedorov in their new positions in the NSDC: First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Shmyhal and Defense Minister Fedorov.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 13, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Vasyl Maliuk from the post of the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Denys Shmyhal as the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy, he was previously the Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov - the Minister of Defense, he was previously the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation.
