The High Anti-Corruption Court has refused to seize Yuliia Tymoshenko's personal funds in her bank account, but arrested 6 cell phones, a part of a computer, a garage and a car.
The HACC made this decision on January 21, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The HACC partially granted the prosecutor's request to seize Yuliia Tymoshenko's property. According to the court's decision, her husband's property and property seized during the search will be seized.
In particular, the court seized: USD 40,000; USD 6,300; 6 mobile phones; cars belonging to Tymoshenko's husband (Toyota Land Cruiser, Audi A8 and GAZ); two garages in Dnipro; a system unit; draft records.
The judge refused to seize the funds on Tymoshenko's personal account. The judge argued that this is the only source of income for the MP, so the seizure would be excessive.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the High Anti-Corruption Court granted Yuliia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, bail in the amount of UAH 33,280,000 as a preventive measure. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the HACC to set UAH 50 million bail for the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yuliia Tymoshenko, as a preventive measure. The Prosecutor's Office asks the court to ban Tymoshenko from communicating with other MPs. The NABU has made public the records in the case of bribery of MPs: according to the investigation, Tymoshenko coordinated voting and personnel decisions. Yuliia Tymoshenko reacted to the searches in the party office of the political force and called it political pressure. NABU and SAPO caught the head of one of the parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada on bribes for voting.
