Anti-corruption authorities have announced that the leader of the Batkivshchyna parliamentary faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, is suspected of offering undue advantage to MPs.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau published the relevant materials within the framework of the corruption proceedings.
"The NABU and the SAPO served a notice of suspicion to the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of offering an unlawful benefit to MPs of Ukraine," the SAPO said.
The investigation claims that after the revelation in December 2025 of the facts of MPs receiving bribes for supporting certain legislative decisions, the suspect began negotiations with parliamentarians to create a permanent mechanism of financial incentives in exchange for loyal behavior during voting.
According to the NABU, it was not a one-time arrangement, but a long-term scheme with regular payments in advance, designed for systematic cooperation. According to the investigators, MPs were to receive specific instructions on how to vote, abstain or not participate in the voting.
Law enforcement officers released an audio recording from January 12, which recorded the discussion of the transfer of funds and coordination of actions in parliament. In particular, Tymoshenko can be heard whispering about paying "for two sessions" in advance and distributing funds among the parties to the arrangement
In addition, detectives showed a fragment of a conversation between the politician and one of the MPs regarding personnel issues. Also, the case file contains messages, which, according to the investigation, indicate that the voting instructions were related to recent changes in the government - the appointments of Mykhailo Fedorov and Denys Shmyhal to new positions, as well as the resignation of Vasyl Maliuk as the head of the SSU.
During the search of the party's office, according to NABU, funds were seized, the origin of which is being checked within the framework of the proceedings.
The case was classified under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - an offer, promise or giving of an unlawful benefit to an official.
