The leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko, who is suspected of bribing MPs, has not yet paid the UAH 33 million in bail set by the court.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) informed the Ukrainian News Agency about this.
"They have not paid (the money)," the High Anti-Corruption Court reported.
According to the court's decision, Tymoshenko has 5 days to pay bail. If the money is not paid during this time, the prosecutor's office has the right to apply to the court with a demand to choose a more stringent preventive measure for Tymoshenko as bail.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a bail of UAH 33 million 280 thousand as a preventive measure for the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the HACC to set a UAH 50 million bail for the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko.
