The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches of the driver of the former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak. During the investigative actions, law enforcement officers seized phones and other electronic media. This was reported by the ZN.UA publication, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

Also, according to media reports, Yermak himself has not yet been served with a suspicion.

"Although NABU usually tries to announce suspicions on the day of searches, this rule is not mandatory. In particular, the president's godfather Oleksii Chernyshov learned about the essence of the anti-corruption agencies' claims only four months after the searches," the source said.

In addition, the publication's source in law enforcement noted that the investigation is in an active phase, and NABU is aware of both the level of the person involved and the public's demand for a quick result. At the same time, the bureau does not intend to act under pressure for the sake of a "one-day effect".

"The reason for the delay is one - the need to collect evidence with which to go to court," the publication's interlocutor explained.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Andrii Yermak was resigning from the post of head of the President's Office.

Shortly before that, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office announced searches at Yermak's home.

It was also reported that Andrii Yermak received 10 times more salary when he was dismissed from the post of head of the President's Office than the previous head, Andrii Bohdan.
