The head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, is resigning. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced this in a video message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I want no one to have any questions about Ukraine. Therefore, today the following internal decisions will be made: the Office of the President of Ukraine will be rebooted. The head of the Office, Andrii Yermak, has written a letter of resignation," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy added that he is grateful to Yermak for always representing the Ukrainian position in the Ukrainian track in a patriotic manner, but he wants there to be no rumors and speculation.
As for the new head of the office, Zelenskyy said that tomorrow he would hold consultations with those who could head this institution.
The President's website has already published a decree on Yermak's dismissal.
"To dismiss Andrii Yermak from the post of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine," the document says.
The reason for the dismissal is not specified
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Friday morning, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) reported that they were conducting a search at the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, investigative actions are authorized and carried out within the framework of the investigation.
Zelenskyy appointed Andrii Yermak as the head of the President's Office instead of Andrii Bohdan in February 2020.
