President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has sent a submission to the Verkhovna Rada on dismissing Vasyl Maliuk from the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk announced this on his Facebook page on Friday, January 9, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Stefanchuk published the corresponding presidential submission and emphasized that the parliament will consider it in the near future in accordance with the established procedure.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 5, Vasyl Maliuk announced the completion of his work as head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Maliuk's resignation must be approved by the Verkhovna Rada.
On January 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the head of the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yevhen Khmara, to temporarily act as head of the SSU.
