Zelenskyy warns of possibility of massive russian shelling on night of January 9

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that work is still underway in a number of cities to eliminate the consequences of russian strikes. At the same time, he noted, there is information about a possible massive shelling of the territory of Ukraine by the aggressor state of russia on the night of January 9.

He reported this on social networks.

"There is information that tonight there may be a new russian massive strike. It is very important to pay attention to air alerts today, tomorrow, constantly, go down to shelters. The russians are unchanged: they are trying to take advantage of the weather," the report says.

He said this after a report by the government, as well as services involved in eliminating the consequences of russian strikes. The President informed that in the Zaporizhzhia Region, power supply was restored according to schedules during the day. Meanwhile, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol, Pavlohrad and other cities and communities of the Dnipro[etrovsk Region are still working.

"Unfortunately, there were new strikes today - specifically on the energy sector and the civilian sector, in Kryvyi Rih - on residential buildings," Zelenskyy added.

He also reported on the verification of reports from the regions, and "not all reports are true." The President announced the conclusions. Zelenskyy also noted that he had sent the Vice Prime Minister for Restoration to Dnipro to personally monitor the work and promptly resolve issues with assistance.

We will remind you that on the evening of January 7, a large-scale power outage occurred in most of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhziia Regions as a result of an attack by the army of the aggressor country, russia.

At the same time, during the large-scale power outage in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, a message appeared on the official DTEK website, which stated that the power supply in the region would supposedly be restored only in 2027. The company later stated that this information was erroneous and arose due to a technical failure.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said that technically the situation in the city is one of the most difficult, calling it "a truly national emergency." In addition, the Zaporizhstal steelworks suspended all production processes on January 7 due to the loss of external power supply, which occurred as a result of russian shelling of the region.
