On January 7, the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant suspended all production processes due to the loss of external power supply, which occurred as a result of russian shelling of the region. This was announced in the company's statement on Facebook on Thursday, January 8.
Zaporizhstal lost external power supply due to a massive drone attack by the occupiers on the energy sector of the Zaporizhzhia Region. As a result, the plant was forced to suspend all production processes. The staff, together with the regional energy specialists, managed to prevent man-made accidents and stabilize the situation.
"Currently, the company's team is working to stabilize the internal power grid. In conditions of limited power supply, routine work is being carried out on the main units in order to prepare for a phased and safe restart of the production process, which will be possible only after the restoration of external power supply," the message says.
