During an online briefing, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted the possibility of negotiations with representatives of the russian federation, but only after full coordination with partners. It was reported by European Pravda.
"We will do everything to ensure that the meeting of advisers takes place in Ukraine. Then there will be a meeting of European leaders and the 'Coalition of the Willing'. After that, documents will be agreed upon and a meeting with President Trump and European leaders will be prepared. If everything goes according to plan, after that there will be a meeting in one format or another with the Russians," Zelenskyy said.
The main goal is to enter into direct contact with russia in January, having a fully coordinated position with Washington and Brussels.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is already coordinating with his American and European counterparts. Zelenskyy expressed hope that this round of talks will finally take place in Ukraine.
The next stage will be an expanded meeting of European leaders with Ukraine, as well as a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing', which the President has already begun discussing with Emmanuel Macron and other partners. The last stage of preparation may include a joint meeting of Ukraine, Europe and Donald Trump to finalize the documents.
The President emphasized that if all these steps are implemented in January, the next stage may be a direct meeting with the russian side
"We are serious. If everything goes step by step, then after agreeing on positions with partners, a meeting in one format or another with the Russians will take place," Zelenskyy summarized, confirming Ukraine's readiness for the previously discussed formats of dialogue.
