On December 7, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) chose a preventive measure for the accomplice of Verkhovna Rada member Hanna Skorokhod in the form of arrest with the alternative of paying bail in the amount of UAH 4.5 million.
This was announced by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the SAPO, the participants in the criminal scheme are suspected of "selling" decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on the application of sanctions.
"On December 7, 2025, the investigating judge of the HACC granted the motion of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) detectives, approved by the SAPO prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative of paying a bail of UAH 4 million 542 thousand to one of the participants in the group of persons who, together with the MP, were exposed for inciting to provide an illegal benefit for applying NSDC sanctions to a competing company," the report says.
In the event of paying bail, the suspect will be subject to the following procedural obligations:
– to appear before the detectives, prosecutors, the investigating judge, and the court upon each of their requests and summons;
– not to leave the city of Ternopil without the permission of the detective, prosecutor, or court;
– to notify the detective, prosecutor, or court of a change in his place of residence and work;
– to refrain from communicating with the persons specified in the court ruling;
– to hand over to the relevant state authorities their passport(s) for travel abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine;
– to wear an electronic means of control.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, MP Skorokhod demanded a bribe of USD 250,000 from an entrepreneur for applying sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council to a competing company.
