The former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, visited the office of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (FISU). He may be preparing to leave the country.
The Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly reported this with reference to its own sources.
The newspaper writes that today, December 5, Yermak was spotted at the central office of the FISU. The former head of the President's Office arrived in a Mercedes car with license plates 5657.
The interlocutors of the publication said that Yermak was in the building of the FISU office for about 45 minutes. After that, the head of the service, Oleh Ivashchenko, summoned the head of the department dealing with cover documents.
Sources of Dzerkalo Tyzhnia claim that Ivashchenko is considered Yermak's man and is allegedly indebted to him for his appointment.
According to the interlocutors of the publication, the cover documents may be prepared specifically for Yermak.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Andrii Yermak would resign as head of the President's Office.
Shortly before that, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) announced searches at Yermak's place.
The next day, on November 29, Yermak gave a comment to the New York Post, in which he said that he was "ready for any reprisals". He also said that he intends to go to the front.
