US President Donald Trump has said that an agreement to end russia's war against Ukraine could be reached in the near future. He said this at a turkey pardoning ceremony on the eve of Thanksgiving.

He said that about 25,000 Ukrainian and russian soldiers were killed in the past month.

"It's not easy but I think we are going to get there. 25,000 soldiers in the last month, Ukraine/Russia, 25,000 soldiers in the last month have died. I think we are getting close to a deal. I thought that was going to gone quicker. But I think we are making progress," Trump said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that he wants to hold a meeting with US President Donald Trump as soon as possible to finalize the peace plan.

Earlier yesterday, on November 25, the British edition of the Financial Times wrote, citing sources, that Ukraine had allegedly agreed to limit the size of the army to 800,000 people as part of peace talks.

It was also noted that Ukraine "agreed to a peace deal" initiated by the administration of former US President Donald Trump, to stop the russian offensive, which has been going on for almost four years.
