As part of concessions aimed at ending the war with russia, Ukraine has reportedly agreed to limit the number of its military personnel. The Financial Times reports.
According to Ukrainian officials, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump are to discuss the most difficult points of the peace plan, namely: the issue of territorial affiliation and the provision of security guarantees from the United States.
According to sources, one of the conditions was Kyiv's alleged agreement to "limit" the size of its army, setting it at 800,000 soldiers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine "agreed to a peace deal" initiated by the administration of US President Donald Trump to stop the russian offensive, which has been going on for almost four years.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, reported that during the negotiations, the American and Ukrainian delegations discussed the peace plan "point by point", the most sensitive of which will be raised at the level of the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
The media, citing sources in the White House, reported that a meeting of the Presidents of the United States and Ukraine in connection with discussions of the US "peace plan" to end the war is not scheduled this week.
