President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Turkey, with the delegation including the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak. Yermak announced this on Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I arrived in Turkey as part of a delegation headed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. All planned meetings are taking place according to schedule and in a working atmosphere," he said.
Yermak said that he is in constant contact with representatives of the administration of US President Donald Trump, in particular with the US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
"Together with our American partners, we are working to stop russian aggression against Ukraine and achieve a just and sustainable peace," he noted.
The video of Zelenskyy's arrival in the media shows that the Ukrainian President was met in Ankara by Turkish officials, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who went on a business trip to Turkey the day before, is also on the pictures.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 18, Zelenskyy announced that on Wednesday, November 19, he would visit Turkey in order to intensify negotiations on ending the war and returning prisoners.
The Verkhovna Rada says that, against the backdrop of the scandal over corruption in the energy sector, Zelenskyy intends to dismiss Yermak on Thursday. Also, Verkhovna Rada member from the Servant of the People party Fedir Venislavskyi said that the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, should resign. According to him, the pro-presidential faction is currently engaged in lively discussions about the possible resignation of the head of the Office.
In recent days, information has been circulating on the Internet that, against the backdrop of the scandal, Umerov has allegedly left abroad and refuses to return to Ukraine.
