Naftogaz Group and the Greek state-owned company DEPA Commercial signed a Letter of Intent for the supply of natural gas to Ukraine in the winter period - from December 2025 to March 2026.

This is said in a statement by the group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report says that both operational and long-term agreements have been reached with the Greek side.

"This partnership opens up another reliable import destination for us for the coming winter. We are consistently expanding our supply geography to guarantee stable heat for Ukrainians and strengthen the energy security of the entire region. I thank DEPA Commercial for their willingness to move forward together. My sincere gratitude to the President of Ukraine and the Government for making this agreement possible," said Serhii Koretskyi, the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

It is noted that under the future agreement, gas will be transported via a route jointly provided by the gas transmission system operators of five European countries.

DEPA Commercial is a modern vertically integrated energy group that plays a key role in the transformation of the Greek energy sector and is an important element of national energy security.

Its dynamic portfolio encompasses the supply and trading of natural gas, electricity, power generation, renewable energy and alternative fuels, including hydrogen, biomethane and small-scale LNG.

The strategy is centered on diversifying gas sources and routes, having a flexible LNG portfolio and participating in the global market.

The company is also investing in electricity generation and green transformation, shaping Greece's energy future.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the achievement of an agreement with Greece on gas supplies to Ukraine.

The day before, the Naftogaz Group signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Greek company ATLANTIC-SEE LNG TRADE S.A.
