The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company and Norwegian Equinor (a global oil and gas major with advanced expertise in exploration and production) have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
This was announced by Serhii Koretskyi, chairman of the board of Naftogaz, on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the chairman of the board, the document provides for the exchange of experience and technologies that will help in the development and modernization of the Naftogaz group.
Koretskyi wrote that together with Equinor, it is planned to launch training programs for managers and technical personnel, as well as specialists in ESG and decarbonization.
A joint working group will be created in the near future to determine priority projects.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-August, the Norwegian government decided to allocate almost USD 100 million to Ukraine for the purchase of imported natural gas.
