The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Rustem Umerov announced that he has arrived in Istanbul and will work in Turkey and the Middle East in the coming days to unblock the prisoner exchange process. Umerov wrote about this on Facebook on Tuesday, November 11.
"I have just arrived in Istanbul. These days I will work in Turkey and the Middle East in order to unblock the exchange process. There was an agreement - and it must be implemented. The task of the President of Ukraine is clear - Ukrainians must return home from captivity," the NSDC Secretary noted.
According to him, in particular, meetings will be held in Turkey these days that will concern the issues of resuming prisoner exchanges.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 2, Ukraine returned 185 defenders from russian captivity and 20 civilians.
On August 24, Ukraine released a group of Ukrainian military and civilians from captivity.
On August 14, Ukraine returned another 84 Ukrainians from russian captivity, including defenders of Mariupol and civilians.
