Ukraine has freed a group of Ukrainian military and civilians from captivity. Among them are border guards, fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, our people are returning home. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and civilians. Most of them have been in captivity since 2022," the head of state wrote.
Zelenskyy noted that the exchanges continue and thanked international partners, in particular the UAE, for their assistance in the return of Ukrainian citizens.

We remind you that among those released are UNIAN journalist Dmytro Khyliuk and former mayor of Kherson Volodymyr Mykolaenko. Both were abducted in 2022 during the russian occupation.
