Ukraine summit in Budapest could take place at any time - Orbán

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Budapest is ready to host a summit with the participation of the leaders of the United States and russia any day. However, for this to happen, "remaining issues" need to be resolved. This is reported by Magyar Nemzet.

According to Orbán, such a meeting could be the key to a ceasefire and achieving peace in Ukraine.

"There are several unresolved issues in the negotiations between the United States and russia. If they are resolved, the Budapest Peace Summit could take place within a few days, and then, depending on the agreement of the parties, a ceasefire and peace could be achieved," the Hungarian Prime Minister said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that he was traveling to Washington to discuss bilateral relations between the countries and peace after the war in Ukraine with US President Donald Trump.

On October 29, Orbán said that peace between Ukraine and russia could only be achieved with the participation of an external mediator, and in his opinion, only US President Donald Trump could fulfill this role.
