He expects that his first face-to-face meeting with Xi Jinping in his second term, scheduled for Thursday, will lead to a reduction in tariffs against China.
"I think we will have a great meeting with President Xi and many problems will be solved," he said.
"We have been negotiating with them, we do not go to a meeting without preparation... I think we're going to get a very good result for our country and, in fact, for the whole world," Trump said.
