US President Donald Trump said that as a result of the strikes of the aggressor country russia on civilian areas, more military personnel than civilians are killed.
Trump said this while talking to journalists during a joint lunch with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Trump said that during his last phone call with russian dictator vladimir putin, he asked him to stop attacking Ukrainian civilian targets.
He was also asked whether the russian army's attacks on civilian areas of Ukraine in general were discussed with putin.
"Yes. But most of the dead are soldiers," Trump replied.
He also said that Ukraine can still win the war.
"They [Ukraine] could still win it. I don't think they will, but they could still win it. I never said they would win it. I said they could win. Anything can happen. War is a very strange thing. A lot of bad things happen, a lot of good things happen," the US president said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump denied media reports that he had called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to give up Donbas.
Shortly before, the Financial Times wrote, citing its own sources, that at a meeting at the White House, Trump called on Zelenskyy to accept russia's terms
On October 19, Trump said that russian dictator vladimir putin would "get something" in the context of territorial gains in Ukraine.
