Border Service does not record active actions near border with Belarus due to Lukashenko's statements about checking combat readiness

Ukraine does not record active actions on the border with Belarus after Lukashenko's statements about a sudden check of the army's combat readiness, but is strengthening defense. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service Andrii Demchenko on the air of a telethon.

So, Ukraine continues to strengthen defense capabilities in this direction.

"Well, this is not the first time - they check combat readiness or escalate the situation through some separate exercises of individual units of their army. We remember that joint exercises with russia also took place recently," Demchenko said.

It is also noted that the Belarusian direction remains dangerous despite the fact that no combat activity is currently recorded there.

"As before, this direction, despite everything - despite the pressure, despite the fact that Belarus continues to support Russia - we must soberly assess the situation. After all, this direction, I will note once again, is threatening for us. And we must continue to increase our defense capabilities so that Ukrainian soldiers can counteract any threat, if it comes from Belarus," the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine emphasized.

Currently, Ukrainian border guards do not record the movement of Belarusian equipment or personnel near the Ukrainian border.

"We do not record any changes in the direction of our border: neither the movement of equipment, nor the movement of personnel, nor any activity of Belarusian army units in the direction of the border with Ukraine - this is not observed," Demchenko clarified.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Poland deployed 40,000 soldiers on the border ahead of joint exercises between the russian federation and Belarus.

On September 14, the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, stated that russia currently does not have the forces to invade from Belarus again, but it is capable of carrying out provocations.

As a reminder, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, warned that with the start of the russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2025 from September 12 to 16, a large-scale information pressure from russia is expected.
