Russia currently does not have the forces to invade from Belarus again, but it is capable of carrying out provocations. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, on the air of a telethon.
"Even though the russian forces on the territory of Belarus are currently not enough to carry out any repeated full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine, neither provocations nor informational influence can be ruled out, as, for example, was done with the Iskanders and the footage that russia distributed," the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
It is reported that the occupiers are distributing these footage on all social networks to demonstrate their power and put informational pressure on the EU.
"Our task is to assess everything that is happening on the territory of Belarus so that we can respond in time to any actions that may be taken against our state," Demchenko said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 1, CSTO exercises began in Belarus with the practice of nuclear scenarios.
At the same time, the head of the Defense Ministry's Defense Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov warned that with the start of the russian-Belarusian exercises "West-2025" from September 12 to 16, a large-scale information pressure from russia is expected.
