Olha Stefanishyna received the official pin (badge) of the Ukrainian Ambassador to the US. Stefanishyna announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"After presenting copies of credentials, I received the official pin of the head of the diplomatic mission," she said.

Stefanishyna said that this pin is a traditional sign of the beginning of a diplomatic mission in the United States.
It depicts a symbol - the coat of arms of the United States of America or the Great Seal of the United States, which is located in the US Department of State. The symbol was approved in 1782. The seal of the US President is directly based on the Great Seal, and its elements are used in numerous seals of government agencies and states.
The image shows a bald eagle with wide-open wings, holding an olive branch with 13 leaves and 13 olives and 13 arrows in its paws - "The USA seeks peace, but is always ready for war", the eagle's head is traditionally turned towards the olive branch.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 16, Stefanishyna announced that she had officially begun performing the duties of Ambassador to the United States.
On August 27, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Stefanishyna as Ambassador to the United States, replacing Oksana Markarova.
In the government of Denys Shmyhal, Stefanishyna held the position of Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Minister of Justice.
