The head of the EU foreign policy department, Kaja Kallas, called the flight of russian drones into Romanian airspace another unacceptable violation.
She wrote about this on the social network X.
"The violation of Romanian airspace by russian drones is yet another unacceptable breach of an EU Member State's sovereignty. This continued reckless escalation threatens regional security. We stand in solidarity with Romania. I am in close contact with the Romanian government," she said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 13, Romania raised fighter jets over a drone from the aggressor country, russia, which had entered the country's territory by about 10 kilometers and was in the airspace of a NATO country for about 50 minutes.
On September 14, the Romanian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador of the russian federation and expressed a strong protest over the violation of Romanian airspace by russian drones.
Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that the incursion of russian drones into Polish airspace was an attempt by the Kremlin to test NATO's reaction through gradual escalation, without provoking a full-scale response.
