On Thursday night, September 11, russian occupiers attacked an educational institution in Sumy. Rescuers extinguished a fire that had broken out as a result of an enemy strike. This is indicated in a statement by the State Emergency Service (SESU).
"On September 11, at around 1 a.m., enemy UAVs struck the territory of one of the educational institutions in Sumy. The school buildings suffered significant damage and partial destruction, one of which caught fire," it said.

It is noted that rescuers quickly extinguished all sources of fire. The impact site has been examined.
The shock wave also damaged vehicles and broke windows in nearby apartment buildings.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August, 8 Ukrainian civilians were killed and 80 were injured in shelling by russian occupiers of the Sumy Region. Also, more than 150 houses were damaged this month.
It was also reported that on the night of September 2, russian occupiers shelled Sumy. As a result of this attack, shopping malls were destroyed, and a child was among the injured.
