Russia trying to shift responsibility for drones in Poland to Ukraine - CCD

The aggressor state of russia is trying to absolve itself of responsibility for the flight of russian drones into the territory of Poland, shifting responsibility to Ukraine and "part of the European elites".

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

According to the CCD, russian propaganda resources have launched a disinformation campaign, spreading messages that the incident with the flight of drones into Poland is a "deliberate provocation by Ukraine and part of the European elites" in order to draw NATO into a direct confrontation with russia.

The russians are also spreading the version that Ukraine directed russian UAVs into the territory of Poland using electronic warfare.

"Such statements are not true and are a typical technique of russian propaganda, with which it tries to justify all its crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine. Such actions by russia must receive a decisive response. Only new tough sanctions and increased international pressure can stop the aggressor," the CCD said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces confirmed the violation of the country's airspace during russia's night attack on Ukraine, and an operation is underway to identify and neutralize the objects.

The wreckage of one of the drones that attacked Poland fell on a residential building in the village of Wyryki, Lublin Voivodeship.

Zelenskyy called the russian drones in Poland an extremely dangerous precedent for Europe.

The Defense Express military portal stated that russia's targeted drone attack on Polish territory on the night of September 10 was part of a long-term escalation plan. Back in early July, 4G modems with Polish and Lithuanian SIM cards were found in the wreckage of russian drones shot down in Ukraine, indicating that the Kremlin was preparing for flights over neighboring countries.
