Syrskyi announces significant increase in security measures at training centers over summer

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced a significant increase in security measures at training centers over the summer. Syrskyi announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In particular, Syrskyi said that he held a meeting on training issues in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the main topic of the meeting was security measures at training centers in conditions of constant drone and missile attacks by the enemy.

"There were reports on the construction of protective structures, as well as the state of providing training centers with air defense, surveillance and air cover. A significant amount of work was completed in this area over the summer. Underground structures are being built for the residence of military personnel who are training; covered communication passages are being equipped at shooting ranges, etc. In some centers, 100% of the personnel already live in underground shelters permanently," he said.

At the same time, Syrskyi noted that there is still a lot of work to be done in this direction, following the meeting, he set tasks for resolving problematic issues, emphasizing the need to concentrate efforts to complete the arrangement of underground shelters in training centers as soon as possible.

In early June, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, resigned after the aggressor country russia struck the training ground, which killed 12 military personnel.
