The leader of the United States of America, Donald Trump, will hold talks with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as with European leaders on Monday, August 18. The schedule was published on the Roll Call portal.
Thus, according to the schedule, Trump will first meet with Zelenskyy at 1:15 pm Eastern Time (08:15 pm Kyiv time) in the Oval Office. Then the US President will meet with all European leaders together in the East Room of the White House at 3:00 pm Eastern Time (10:00 pm Kyiv time).
It is known that among the European leaders attending the meeting with Trump will be European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already arrived in Washington, where he is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump and European leaders.
Trump said that Zelenskyy "can end the war with russia almost immediately if he wants to, or continue the fight."
