The Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the army of the aggressor country, russia.
The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported this.
"The forces of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps and related units cleared the city of enemy groups and individual Russians," the report says.
The Corps noted that Ukrainian servicemen continue to work in the city, and civilians move around the streets.
Movement around Pokrovsk is significantly limited, but the possibility of entering the city from the Ukrainian-controlled part of the region remains.
The military published a video showing what the city looks like. Buildings are either completely destroyed or severely damaged. Fiber-optic cables, which are actively used by both sides to control FPV drones, can also be found in large numbers.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 7, Ukrainian paratroopers showed footage of the liquidation of russian army soldiers who had infiltrated Pokrovsk.
Later, the DeepState analytical project reported that up to 150 occupiers tried to infiltrate Pokrovsk. They moved towards the settlement for 14 days. Only a fifth of them were able to enter it.
As a reminder, on August 6, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, stated that due to shelling and the activity of russian UAVs, it is practically impossible to enter Pokrovsk.
And on August 13, volunteer Yana Statna ("Skhidna") said that volunteers have not been able to get to Pokrovsk for almost a month to deliver humanitarian aid or evacuate civilians.
